Three year old filly for Richie Baltas ran too good to lose the nite cap on Sunday as she ran a bang up race at 9 furlongs on the grass for maiden special weight soph fillies. Off at 9/2 in a field of 9, she broke well under Kyle Frey and was third into the clubhouse turn just two off the leaders. She moved up to second by the 3/8 pole, stuck her head in front at the top of the lane, then battled gamely the entire length of the stretch. A runner from far back caught her right at the wire and she lost by a neck. It was 8 lengths back to the third horse. This was just her third career start for the Kentucky bred daughter of Audible and she is sitting on a victory for a very strong grass stable. She’s a soon winner and would be an ideal candidate for a trip down the hill.
