Fantasy Stakes 2024 Picks

The road to Kentucky Oaks 2024 continues at Oaklawn on Saturday, March 30, and I have included Fantasy Stakes 2024 picks below. The Grade 3 event for 3-year-old fillies has a $750,000 purse and the twelve entrants will be journeying 1 1/16 miles on the main track. The Fantasy Stakes is the 11th race on March 30 and the top five finishers will earn Kentucky Oaks points (100-50-25-15-10). 

Fantasy Stakes 2024 Picks & Final Time Rating

My Mane Squeeze is a sharp New York-bred filly for Mike Maker. She won her last three state bred stakes starts and earned quality speed ratings in those victories. She will probably stalk the pace from the inside post under Flavien Prat. 

Midshipman’s Dance was hung out wide from the outside post and split a 10-horse field in the Honeybee (G3) on Feb. 24. She won her first two sprints including the Mockingbird Stakes, and she lands a much better post and deserves another chance over a route of ground. 

West Omaha could not catch Alpine Princess in a clear runner-up finish in the Untapable, and stalked and dominated as the favorite in the Silverbulletday on Jan. 20. She did not have the best trip when finishing an even third as the beaten favorite in the Honeybee Stakes (G3) on Feb. 24. Tyler Gaffalione is her sixth different rider from as many starts, and she projects a stalking trip for profitable graded stakes trainer Brad Cox.

Lemon Muffin stretched out and earned her diploma in a surprisingly strong effort as a 28-1 longshot in the Grade 3 Honeybee. The improving Collected filly fired a bullet for this on March 22, and a wide stalking trip is expected. 

The Fantasy Stakes field also includes In Just My Heels, All Things Go, Where’s My Ring, Ba Dee Yah, Recharge, Candy Aisle, Tapit Jenallie, and Thorpedo Anna.
