The road to Kentucky Oaks 2024 continues at Turfway Park on Saturday, March 23, and I have included Bourbonette Oaks 2024 picks below. The non-graded event for 3-year-old fillies has a $300,000 purse and the ten entrants will be journeying 1 1/16 miles on the all-weather track. The Bourbonette Oaks is the 11th race on March 23 and the top five finishers will earn Kentucky Oaks points (50-25-15-10-5).

Bourbonette Oaks 2024 Picks & Final Time Ratings

Alpine Princess is versatile. She rallied from off the pace to break her maiden at seven panels last summer. She stalked and scored in an allowance route at Churchill last fall, and wired the field in the Untapable Stakes at Fair Grounds in December. Luis Saez is her new pilot and he has running style options from the inside post.

Maxisuperfly is dangerous when she makes the early lead. She wired the field though slow splits as the favorite in a local flat mile maiden race on Jan. 18, and scooted to the front and kept on going in a length and a half upset at 23-1 odds in the Cincinnati Trophy on March 1. She is not nearly as effective chasing the pace and probably needs the lead to succeed

Movin’ On Up dropped into a maiden claimer and graduated as the favorite in an all-weather route at GP late last year, and Saffie Joseph Jr. claimed her out of that event for $35k. She was the favorite again at Gulfstream on March 3, and she rallied to win by 3 1/4 lengths. The improving filly steps up and might be this good.

Trial rallied for the win in her dirt sprint bow under the Twin Spires last fall. She was 7-2 in the local Gowell Stakes second time out, and she broke last and never got seriously involved. She was 5-1 in a local optional-claiming sprint on Feb. 21, and she overcame some trouble and rallied to win by a nose. She stretches out for quality trainer Thomas Drury Jr., and her dam Arraign was a four-time winner over a route of ground.

Youknownothing got up by a neck at 8-1 odds in her all-weather route bow at Gulfstream last November. She was 40 cent on the dollar in a turf route at Tampa Bay on Jan. 3, and she rallied to finish a clear second. Christophe Clement’s $600k Candy Ride filly will try to get involved from off the pace under her new rider Javier Castellano.

The Bourbonette Oaks field also includes Winnable, Saratoga Secret, Band of Gold, Pink Polkadots, and Everland.
