The road to Kentucky Oaks 2024 continues at Oaklawn on Saturday, February 3, and I have included Martha Washington Stakes 2024 picks below. The non-graded event for 3-year-old fillies has a $250,000 purse and the nine entrants will be journeying 1 1/16 miles on the main track. The Martha Washington is the 9th race on Feb. 3 and the top five finishers will earn Kentucky Oaks points (20-10-6-4-2). 

Martha Washington Stakes 2024 Picks & Final Time Ratings

Neom Beach pressed, led, and was best of the rest in 3rd in the Year’s End last time. Rosario sticks with her and she might try to make the lead this time. 

Promisemeanempire fired trifecta shots in all four starts. She landed the place behind a runaway winner at 20-1 in her flat mile bow, and was an even 3rd at 6-1 odds at Churchill Downs second time out. She attended the pace from the inside post and was best of the rest in 3rd at 2-1 odds on Oct. 12, and pressed from the outside post and graduated as the chalk last time. She is getting better. 

Denim and Pearls battled on the pace and prevailed by a nose in her dirt sprint bow at Keeneland. She was the favorite that day, and she stalked and scored at 5-1 odds in a flat mile race at Churchill second time out. She stalked, led, and was clearly second best as the favorite in the local Year’s End at one mile on Dec. 31. Brad Cox’s $500k Into Mischief filly reconnects with her winning maiden pilot Florent Geroux. 

In Good Taste is also trained by Brad Cox. She rallied for the place in her sprint bow and graduated by a head in a local flat mile affair on Dec. 8 (clear runner-up next-out winner). 

The Martha Washington field also includes Tapit Jenallie, Band of Gold, Divine Gal, Saratoga Secret, and Hush It Honey.
