Travelin’ Show: Sitting on a Win for This Veteran Barn

Three year old gelding for Craig Lewis made his 3rd career start on Sunday and 2nd on the turf in a Cal bred maiden special weight event at six and a half on the turf. Off at 6/5 and the 2nd choice in a field of six, he went right to the lead under J.J. and set slow fractions on a turf course still very wet with moisture, as he went 24.29 for the opening quarter and 47.85 for the half. The favorite caught him at the top of the lane and they raced as a team the entire length of the stretch. “Show” was game down on the inside, but the chalk bested him late to win by a head. It was five back to the third horse. Each race has been a bit better for this son Grazen and he appears to have the pedigree to go long as well. He is sitting on a win for this veteran barn.
