Seismic Spirit (IRE): If Cuts Back To Sprint Bet The Rent Money

Three year old gelding for Peter Miller made his 1st start around two turns and his sixth career start in Sunday’s opener, a mile on the turf for non winners twice starter allowance race. Off at 5/1 in a field of six reduced by two late scratches, he broke well under J.J. and tracked the leader in second throughout. He made his move at the 3/8 pole to contend, got by the leader at the top of the lane, but was out finished by a late runner who got a dream trip through on the fence. He lost by two and a half and though it was still a good race, this one is bred for sprints and I see him returning to the sprint game. This race sets him up nicely for a cut back in distance and his speed makes him dangerous. If J.J. rides him back at this level, and he cuts back to a sprint, bet the rent money.
