Money Makes Money: 5 Back At Top Of Lane Nosed Out of 2nd

Two year old colt for Mark Glatt made his debut in Thursday’s opener, a 5/8 sprint on the turf for maiden special weights. Off at 9/1 in a field of 8, he bobbled and hopped at the start under Rispoli to be away last and was 7 lengths back of the leaders down the back side. He was still five back at the top of the lane, but the jock found a seam and he came home in a flourish to miss by just a half to his stable mate. He was nosed out of second, but based on the poor start, he was best today. He will appreciate the longer sprints up at Arcadia and this son of Kantharos won’t be a maiden much longer.
