Heart Headed: Beat By a Head After Running a Bang Up Race

Three year old colt for John Sadler tried grass for the 1st time in his 4th career start in the Baffle stakes on Saturday and really took to the lawn in this hillside sprint for sophomores. Off at 5/2 and drawn on the rail with J.J., he sat third down the hill just 3 lengths back of the leaders. The jock kept him on the fence the entire trip and he looked a winner at the 1/8 pole, but had no answer late for the winner who came flying on the outside from last to first. He got beat just a head at the wire and really ran a bang up race for this son of Oscar Performance. He is bred to go long as well and looks like a really good claim for $50K as he has doubled that amount in earnings in just 3 starts. He still has the 1st allowance condition available as well. Lots of options for Sadler in his next start.
