Certitude (FR): Bred To Long and Will Continue To Improve For Solid Barn

Three year old filly for John Sadler, who had shown nothing in two starts to the post, finally came alive on Sunday in a maiden special weight at six and a half on the lawn for soph fillies. Off at 8/1 under Hector Berrios, she hopped at the start to be away last in a field of 9, was rushed up to get back in the race, and was fifth by the half mile pole, just six back of the leaders. Berrios ran her up on a horse’s heels at the 3/8, had to check sharply momentarily, and then got shuffled back a bit. He then found a seam at the top of the lane, got his filly to the outside, and she finished with a rush to get second, beaten three by the wire to wire winner, who had six on the field at the 1/8 pole. This daughter of City Light had not been to the post since October, is bred to go long as well, got Lasix for the very 1st time, and should continue to improve for a solid barn. Look for Sadler to find a winning spot in the near future for a filly who was bred in France.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Certitude (FR) was cabable of.  We expected that if Certitude (FR) gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Certitude (FR) performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Certitude (FR) last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Certitude (FR) next start.  If Certitude (FR) appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Certitude (FR) will dominate the race.

Helpful Tip:  So that it’s easy for you to compare a horse’s past performance, Today’s Racing Digest’s Performance Figures for upcoming races are based on how we expect the horse to perform in that race regardless of any changes in race conditions.  Learn More:
