Selenaia (IRE): Rare 5 Lengths Win In Graded Stakes On Grass

You will have to put this one in your “stable watch” as this three year old filly for Jonothan Thomas will probably run her next race back east somewhere. Off at 5/2 in a field of 8 in the Grade 3 Honeymoon stakes at 9 furlongs on the lawn, she was anchored early by “Jersey Joe” and was five off the leaders and in 4th down the back side under a very tight hold. Bravo could wait no longer and at the 3/8 pole asked her for run and she quickly caught the leader by the ¼ pole, opened up 3 at the 1/8 pole, and won by five geared down the final sixteenth. You don’t see horses win by five in a graded stakes often on this grass course. This was just her 4th career start and was her third win in a row. She is a runner. Up the ladder. She was also a Turfdom Best Bet on the day.
