Ceiling Crusher: Geared Down In Final Furlong. Lot’s of Options Here.

Three year old filly for Doug O’Neill made start #3 in the Evening Jewel stakes on Saturday for Cal bred soph fillies at six and a half on the main. Off at 3/10 in a field of just five, she broke running under J.J. from the five hole and she sizzled through the opening quarter, with another drawn to her inside in splits of 21.78 and 43.98 for the half. She put away the other speed at the ¼ pole, opened up on her own at the top of the lane and finished the job drawing off by 15 at the wire. She was geared down by J.J. the final furlong. She should have no trouble vs. open company and is bred well for the turf as well. Lots of options for O’Neill and they only paid $22K for this daughter of Mr. Big at the Nor Cal yearling sale. Up the ladder.
