Irish Honor: May Need a Race on the Outside

Looked like a green 2-year-old up the backstretch with his head held up high while dropping back to near the back around the turn under the whip. However, he was steered to the outside entering the stretch and rallied well to finish 2nd behind a runaway winner. The gelding must not like the kickback and may need to race on the outside of all runners for his best.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Irish Honor was cabable of.  We expected that if Irish Honor gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Irish Honor performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Irish Honor last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Irish Honor next start.  If Irish Honor appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Irish Honor will dominate the race.
