Petrolo: Dueled Early and Put That Rival Away at Turn

Second-timer looked like a different runner as he dueled early and put that rival away around the turn. He then was challenged by another runner to his inside entering the stretch and he was able to shake that rival off in midstretch. The gelding was caught late by the more experienced favorite and he could be moving forward once again with more racing.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Petrolo was cabable of.  We expected that if Petrolo gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Petrolo performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Petrolo last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Petrolo next start.  If Petrolo appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Petrolo will dominate the race.
