Electric Stuff: Speed Duel Tired in Stretch

Second-timer showed a lot more early speed today and dueled with the favorite who had nothing left entering the stretch. However, this gelding held well to finish a distant 2nd behind the perfect-tripper winner. If able to control the pace or have slower fractions in the early stages, he could have a lot more left for the stretch.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Electric Stuff was cabable of.  We expected that if Electric Stuff gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Electric Stuff performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Electric Stuff last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Electric Stuff next start.  If Electric Stuff appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Electric Stuff will dominate the race.
