Myrtlewood Stakes Analysis

#10 Trust Fund Philly (3-1) was strong from off the pace in her Churchill debut in the slop under Jose Ortiz Sept. 27. Peter Eurton’s $100k Liam’s Map filly had a decent local half-mile move Oct. 18 and should get pace to chase.

#3 Echo Sound (5-1) won both starts at this distance to begin her career and she earned an improved number as the favorite Sept. 12. Irad Ortiz Jr. takes the call and she should make her presence felt from the outset.

#4 White Sands (4-1) went all the way in her first two sprints and won those races by a combined 22 1/2 lengths. She shipped to Del Mar and took on the boys in the Best Pal (G3) Aug. 11 and she stalked the pace and finished a clear third in a 4-horse field. Getaway Car dominated that race and was fourth in the Del Mar Futurity (G1) and second in the American Pharoah (G1) in his last pair. She is back with juvenile fillies and should attend the pace.

#8 Andrea (6-1) wired the field as the favorite in both starts at Gulfstream and she dominated those events by a total of 14 1/4 lengths. Leading rider Tyler Gaffalione takes the call for Saffie Joseph Jr. and this one drilled a bullet for this engagement in Florida Oct. 6.

#5 Dancing Magic (12-1) wired the field from the inside post in her Hawthorne sprint bow. She raced wide from post 10 and never got seriously involved second time out, and she was a clear second behind a runaway winner as the beaten favorite at Colonial Aug. 16. She was 22-1 in a local sprint Oct. 4 and she stalked the pace and landed the place, and she finished 11 1/4 lengths in front of the show finisher that day. Flavien Prat got to know her last time and she is getting faster.
