Del Mar Juvenile Turf Analysis
Artislas defeated Sunday’s rival Scipio when they met at five panels on Aug. 2. Jeff Mullins shows a profit in the graded ranks and with his second grass starts, and Reylu Gutierrez stays put and is 3-for-5 with this outfit recently.
An Chorr Dubh beat 15 rivals at 33-1 odds in her turf sprint bow bow in Ireland. Mark Glatt has her now and she had a decent local half-mile turf work on Sept. 1. Flavien Prat will ride and she chose this spot over Saturday’s Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf.
Scipio broke last of 8 and came running for the show in his local turf sprint bow at 5-2 odds on Aug. 2. Umberto Rispoli sticks with the maiden and he sports a trio of solid local works for this.
Mischief River pressed the pace and won his dirt sprint bow at Los Alamitos on June 29, and stalked the pace and landed the place behind Del Mar Futurity (G1) contender Getaway Car in the Grade 3 Best Pal on Aug. 11. The $500k Into Mischief colt stretches out and switches surfaces after two sprints. He owns the best final time ratings in the field and might be the one to catch.
Johnson’s Magic was the favorite in his local turf sprint bow and he was forwardly placed and settled for the place. His new rider Hector Berrios wins races with John Sadler and he has some route influences in his pedigree.
