Zip Om: Watch For Better Post and if Fresu Rides Him Back

Three year old gelding for Carla Gaines made start #2 on Sunday in a Cal bred 1st allowance condition at 5/8 on the turf 3 and up. Bet down very heavy late at 4/5 in spite breaking from the dreaded rail in this field of 11, he broke inward and awkwardly from the rail slot and then was rushed up to grab the lead by the half mile pole. But as it always does, the bad start would cost him late and it did once again as he was pressed through quick fractions of 22 flat and 44.66 and then gave it up late to finish third beaten one length at the wire. He can easily win this condition but he needs a target to run at and the rail post cost him dearly as he ran well all things considered.
