Victory Way: Forced The Pace While Holding

Second-timer was asked a lot in a Stakes race and hopping and bumping at the break didn’t help. He forced the pace up the backstretch and held his own dueling with two others around the turn along the rail. He tried gamely to go with the eventual winner in the stretch, but tired very late and was nailed on the wire for 2nd. A clean break and further experience can only help this up and coming colt.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Victory Way was cabable of.  We expected that if Victory Way gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Victory Way performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Victory Way last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Victory Way next start.  If Victory Way appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Victory Way will dominate the race.
