Tranche: Will Be Tough To Beat In Juvenille Stakes at Del Mar

Two year old colt for Luis Mendez made start #3 on Saturday in the Fasig Tipton Futurity for $100,000, and although still a maiden, he put it all together under Maldonado. He broke running, grabbed the lead immediately in this five furlong dash for babies and made every pole a winning one with fractions of 22.15 and 45.36 for the half. He had two on the field at the ¼ pole, three at the 1/8 pole, and galloped home to win by seven at the wire with a couple of good looking juveniles in his rear view mirror. He’ll be tough in those juvenile stakes down at Del Mar.
