Three year old filly for Tim Yakteen made her debut on Friday in a $50,000 maiden claimer at ¾ on the main 3 and up. Off at 8/1 in a field of 9, she broke running from the rail slot and was 4th early on just 3 back of the leaders. Kimura started to move her at the 3/8 pole, found a seam on the rail and got through it, then opened up to win by five going away at the wire. It was an impressive move by a debut runner at the ¼ pole and it was surprising to see her debut in a maiden claimer. They paid $180K for her and her drills were on the strong side. She is out of Audible who is a win early sire and the only negative for this Kentucky bred was her rail draw for a 1st time starter. She is now eligible for the non winners starter race and will be protected.
