Sakura Flavor (IRE): Bred For Lawn And Can Run All Day

Three year old filly for Paddy Gallagher made her 2nd start this year and 3rd of her young career on Saturday, in a one mile maiden special weight event on the turf for 3 and up. Off at 30/1 in a field of 8, she raced unhurried into the first turn 7 lengths off the pace. Van Dyke kept her on the rail throughout and asked her for run at the ¼ pole. She stayed on the fence down the lane and closed strongly on the worst part of the course to get second, beaten only a length and a half at the wire. By the great Euro sire Kingman, she is bred for the lawn and can run all day. This Irish bred is just learning the game and should find the winners circle in the very near future.
