Ryan’s Girl: Improved Dramatically With Blinkers At Should Graduate Soon

Two year old filly for George Papaprodromou made start #2 on Sunday in a Cal bred maiden claimer at five and a half on the main with a tag of $50,000. Off at 11/1 and adding the blinkers, she broke running under Diego Herrera and fought for the lead down the back side with the 6/5 chalk. She stuck her head in front at the top of the lane and gamely battled the length of the stretch. She gave it up just inside the 1/16 pole, but it was a fine effort and she got nosed out of second in the final jump. She improved dramatically with the addition of blinkers and should get her diploma soon at this level, maybe even at Los Alamitos where they will race for 2 weeks in December.
