Rostovsky: Son of Liam’s Map is a Runner Who Will Adore 2 Turns

Three year old gelding for Mark Glatt made his debut on Friday in a maiden special eight event at ¾ on the turf. Off at 17/1 in a field of 8 runners 3 and up, he missed the start completely, was away last, and was quickly 8 lengths back of the field. Herrera slowly got him back in the race and surprisingly, he had run in him down the stretch and he almost caught the leaders in the final sixteenth. He finished third, was beaten ¾ at the wire, and then had enough energy left for a huge gallop out. This son of Liam’s Map is a runner and will probably adore two turns based on this performance. He’s a soon winner for a barn that is doing everything right in 2024.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Rostovsky was cabable of.  We expected that if Rostovsky gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Rostovsky performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Rostovsky last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Rostovsky next start.  If Rostovsky appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Rostovsky will dominate the race.
