Ragtime Rose: Daughter of Union Rags Will Find A Winning Spot

Three year old filly for Jeff Mullins tried the Sweet Life stakes on Saturday at six and a half down the hill for soph fillies. Off at 17/1 in a field of 11, she broke a step slow under Berrios and was last early. The jock kept her on the fence throughout, found a seam on the rail at the top of the lane, and she finished stoutly down on the inside to just miss at the wire. She ended up a half back to the even money favorite. This filly has routed twice but she is a late running sprinter through and through. She still has the first allowance condition available and the red hot Mullins will find a winning spot for this daughter of Union Rags.
