Two year old filly for Tim Yakteen made her debut in Saturday’s opener at five and a half on the main in a maiden special weight for juvenile fillies. Off at 18/1 with Fresu up, who has been ice cold so far at Del Mar, she broke running from the rail slot and fought for the early lead down the back side with two others. She kicked clear at the 3/8 pole to open up two, found another gear at the 1/8 pole to be 4 in front, and won by five at the wire. She had quick works coming into this race but she was in pretty tough with plenty of high priced and fast working fillies. This daughter of Mendelssohn can motor and she will be a factor is stakes later this meet.
