Prosper: $1.7M Yearling With Sadler 2nd Time starter Record He’s Soon To Win | Upcoming Race:Santa Anita April 26, 2024

Four year old colt for John Sadler took awhile to get to the races, but he made it on Sunday off some quick four and five furlong drills. Six went to the post and this son of City of Light went off at 3/1 and broke sharply under Kimura to contest the lead. He dueled with another horse down the back side with quick fractions of 21.97 and 44.68 for the half. He put the other speed away at the ¼ pole, opened up a length, but the quick fractions started to take their measure. He still had the lead at the 1/8 pole, then faded the final furlong to finish 4th beaten five at the wire. Still it was a good race based on the fact it was his debut and he battled for five furlongs through very fast fractions. The race will do him a world of good and Sadler has a good record with second time starters. He cost $1.7 million at the Keeneland yearling sale. He’s a soon winner for a top barn.
