Poncho Song: Can Move Forward With New Pace Tactics and Fairer Track

A mare who was making her third start off the layoff showed unexpected early speed and was part of a four horse duel up the backstretch. She appeared to be tiring once headed around the far turn while racing on the rail, but she gamely fought back only to be run down by perfect-tripper Carly Hustle. The outside seemed to be the place to be today and ‘Song might move forward with the new pace tactics and fairer track.
