Not A Sinner (GB): Bumped Hard For Slow Start Can Improve In Next

Two year old filly for Simon Callaghan made her 2nd start in the U.S on Sunday in a maiden special weight at 5/8 on the turf. Bet down to the even money favorite in a field of 10, she was bumped hard at the start to get away slowly, then rushed up to be fifth early on about four off the leaders. Rispoli had her in a good spot but then checked hard at the 3/8 pole while she was full of run. He regrouped on the fence and still was in contention at the top of the lane but had nowhere to go down on the inside. He had to wait for room, finally swung to the outside, but it was too late, the race was over. She finished 4th beaten a length and a half. In these 5/8 turf sprints, there is no room for a rough trip. There is just no time to recover. She will appreciate the longer sprints up at Arcadia and she’s a soon winner.
