Miracle Mark: Has Ton Of Talent But Needs More Gate Schooling

Two year old colt for Phil D’Amato made start #2 on Saturday and for the 2nd consecutive race, he broke poorly at the start with a stumble to lose all chance. Off at 5/1 in a field of 8 runners going a mile on the main in this maiden special weight, he was six back into and out of the clubhouse turn. He did make a bold move at the 3/8 pole and went from sixth to second, then got completely wiped out at the top of the lane when the favorite veered out and he lost all his action. He staggered in for fourth but was only beaten three at the wire for it all. This one has a ton of talent but he needs more gate schooling. He is bred top and bottom for the turf so D’Amato may give him a shot on the sod. Don’t give up on the son of Constitution just yet. D’Amato will figure him out.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Miracle Mark was cabable of.  We expected that if Miracle Mark gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Miracle Mark performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Miracle Mark last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Miracle Mark next start.  If Miracle Mark appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Miracle Mark will dominate the race.
