Miracle Mark: Has Ton Of Talent But Needs More Gate Schooling | Upcoming Race:Santa Anita May 4, 2024

Two year old colt for Phil D’Amato made start #2 on Saturday and for the 2nd consecutive race, he broke poorly at the start with a stumble to lose all chance. Off at 5/1 in a field of 8 runners going a mile on the main in this maiden special weight, he was six back into and out of the clubhouse turn. He did make a bold move at the 3/8 pole and went from sixth to second, then got completely wiped out at the top of the lane when the favorite veered out and he lost all his action. He staggered in for fourth but was only beaten three at the wire for it all. This one has a ton of talent but he needs more gate schooling. He is bred top and bottom for the turf so D’Amato may give him a shot on the sod. Don’t give up on the son of Constitution just yet. D’Amato will figure him out.
