Miles Finch: Soon Winner Who Can Handle 2 Turns

Two year old colt for John Sadler made his debut on Friday in a Cal bred maiden special weight at ¾ on the green. Off as the 6/5 choice in a field of 9, This son of Vronsky broke well with the field under J.J., then quickly was hustled over to the rail at the half mile pole. He was 4th at the ¼ pole on the fence and had plenty of horse for the stretch drive. J.J. chose to keep him on the fence down the lane and that was a mistake, as a seam never developed until very late and it turned out to be TOO LATE. He checked twice within the final furlong to lose his momentum and when he got free, the race was over. He got beat a length and a half at the wire and he was BEST. He will get another shot at Del Mar this fall and should they try two turns, he can handle that as well.
