Kiss My Kat: Solid Works but Broke Last at Start and Used Up Early to Tire Late Tough To Beat If Races Back to This Level

Four year old filly for Kristin Mulhall, who had not been to the post since October of 2021, made just the 2nd start of her career on Sunday in a state bred maiden claimer with a tag of $50K at ¾ on the main. She missed the start completely and broke last after working sensationally in the mornings. Curatolo then rushed her up on the inside and she actually had the lead by the half mile pole. She then widened her lead to two into the far turn, had four on the field by the 1/8 pole, but the poor start came back to haunt her late in the race. The jock used her way too early and she hung and tired late to finish second beaten two at the wire by a longshot. If she races back at this level, they won’t beat her next time.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Kiss My Kat was cabable of.  We expected that if Kiss My Kat gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Kiss My Kat performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Kiss My Kat last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Kiss My Kat next start.  If Kiss My Kat appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Kiss My Kat will dominate the race.
