Upcoming Race: Del Mar November 17, 2024 Ketonia (FR): Strong To The Wire To Win By 3 Which is a Large Margin Here

Three year old French bred filly, who was claimed by Ron Ellis in his last start two months ago, surfaced on Friday in a starter allowance race for non winners twice who had raced for $50,000 or less. Off as the longest price in the field of 8 at 13/1, she broke OK under Talamo and was sixth into the clubhouse turn but just five back of the leaders. Talamo kept her on the fence down the back side, moved to the outside at the ¼ pole, and she surged by the field and was in front by the 1/8 pole. She was strong to the wire and won by three which is a large margin on this turf course. She is now eligible for the non winners of three starter races while still being protected from the claim box. She ran vastly improved today and has a new lease on life under Ron Ellis, an excellent conditioner.
