Indispensable: Sadler Should Find Winning Spot Within The Month

Newly turned three year old colt for John Sadler made the 4th start of his career on Monday in a maiden special weight event for sophomores at a flat mile on the main. Off at 4/1 in a field of just five, he broke a step slow under Kimura and was 4th into the clubhouse turn. The jock moved him to the fence down the back side and he was just three back at the half mile pole. The problem was Baffert had the heavy favorite on a lonely lead at this point in the race, and though this son of Constitution tried hard to get near him, he never got closer than one length of him at the 1/8 pole, and then the favorite found another gear to win by two and a half. But Indispensable ran a good race just the same and fought the race shape all the way around the track. This was his first shot with Lasix as well and this $825,000 Keeneland purchase is about ready to break his maiden. Look for Sadler to find a winning spot in the next four weeks.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Indispensable was cabable of.  We expected that if Indispensable gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Indispensable performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Indispensable last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Indispensable next start.  If Indispensable appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Indispensable will dominate the race.
