I Win Again: Maldonado Fits Him Well And Soon To Be Winner

The name doesn’t fit just yet of this two year old colt for Val Brinkerhoff, who is still a maiden after two starts. But he does have two good seconds and ran into a buzz saw on Saturday in this maiden special weight event at five and a half on the main. Off at 9/1 in a field of just 7, he came out running from the four hole under Maldonado, but was pressed every step of the way. He put the other speed away at the ¼ pole, but then here come the odds on favorite up on his outside. He dug in gamely but gave it up at the 1/16th pole. He still finished second and it was a good six lengths back to the 3rd horse. The first quarter was pretty fast for these two year olds in 21.79. He appears to be a soon winner with his speed and may get another race in here at the seaside. Maldonado fits him well.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe I Win Again was cabable of.  We expected that if I Win Again gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in I Win Again performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in I Win Again last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of I Win Again next start.  If I Win Again appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that I Win Again will dominate the race.
