Upcoming Race: Del Mar November 15, 2024 Hula Candy: He Can Beat This Kind With Clean Trip

Five year old full horse for John Shirreffs had another tough trip when stretched out to a mile in Saturday’s finale, a maiden special weight on the turf 3 and up. Off at 3/1 in a full field of 12, Bravo kept him well back early, tried to rally on the fence in the lane, and was totally blocked the entire stretch run with nowhere to go. He finished fifth beaten just a length and a half and was best. He can beat this kind with a clean trip and maybe Bravo takes him the overland route next time. He was loaded at the top of the lane.
