Golden Code: Slow Break But Pressed The Pace

Didn’t break very quickly in his comebacker, but was able to press the pace once they left the chute. It then turned into a four horse duel as they entered the turn, but he took over the lead around the turn. He dueled with his main rival in the stretch, but the pair was run down late by a pair of perfect trippers. A clean break and recency should help him for his next start.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Golden Code was cabable of.  We expected that if Golden Code gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Golden Code performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Golden Code last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Golden Code next start.  If Golden Code appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Golden Code will dominate the race.
