Gentle (GB): Visually Impressive While Being Bred For Turf

Three year old filly for George Papaprodromou made her first start stateside on Saturday in a maiden allowance for 3 and up at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf for fillies and mares. Off at 9/2 and bet down from a morning line of 12/1, she hopped at the start under Rispoli and was away last in a field of 8. She moved up to sixth down the back side while under a hard hold and then at the half mile pole, the jock just let her run. She went from fifth to first and covered five lengths in the blink of an eye, quickly opened up three on the field, and held sway to win by three down the lane. It was visually impressive. This was her first try on the grass after two synthetic tries in England, but she is certainly bred for this surface.
