Is usually a deep closer, but may have been more forwardly-placed due to today’s sloppy conditions. He held his own, though, as he had to steady slightly while trying to make his rally entering the stretch and that likely cost him all of his momentum. Afterwards, he basically raced evenly down the stretch. Should the track be dry for his next start, look for him to go back to his off the pace tactics and possibly move forward.
