Forever After All: Has 9 seconds in 19 Starts and Is a Sharp Runner

Five year old mare for Brendan Walsh ventured out west to try and get a graded stakes win on Sunday in the Grade 3 Red Carpet stakes at 11 furlongs on the turf for older fillies and mares. Sent off as the odds on choice in a field of 7, she was laying third down the back side when one of the leaders drifted in on her at the 3/8 pole. J.J. had to check her sharply and she reared up and lost five lengths just like that. She re-rallied in the lane but lost way too much ground on the back side. Still she finished second beaten just a length at the wire and was much the best. Her next race will probably be back east so put her on your stable watch for next time. She now has 9 seconds in 19 starts but she’s sharp now and is a runner.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Forever After All was cabable of.  We expected that if Forever After All gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Forever After All performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Forever After All last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Forever After All next start.  If Forever After All appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Forever After All will dominate the race.

Helpful Tip:  So that it’s easy for you to compare a horse’s past performance, Today’s Racing Digest’s Performance Figures for upcoming races are based on how we expect the horse to perform in that race regardless of any changes in race conditions.  Learn More:
