Ebok’s Dream Girl: Stuck on Slow Rail in Debut, Trainer Improves in 2nd Starts

Two year old filly for John Sadler made her debut on Saturday in a Cal bred maiden special weight at 5/8 on the main. Off at 5/1 in a field of 10, she broke OK under Rispoli and stayed on the rail for most of the race and that was not the place to be Saturday, as the outside lanes were clearly the best. She was close up down the back side, stayed on the fence turning for home and hung in there gamely down the lane to get third and was only beaten ¾ at the wire. Sadler is only 6% with debut runners these days but does considerably better 2nd time to the post. She can win on a fair race track as this daughter of win early sire Stay Thirsty should be set for start #2.
