Desert Rhapsody: Won By 8 With Good Group Of Fillies In Her Rear View Mirror

Three year filly for Doug O’Neill put on an impressive display of speed on Sunday when she made a shambles of a 1st allowance condition at a mile on the main track for fillies and mares 3 and up. Off at 16/1 in a field of six and the longest price on the board, she broke running under Fresu and had one length on the field coming out of the clubhouse turn. That margin was two at the 3/8 pole through quick fractions of 22.66 for the quarter and 46.65 for the half. On a track favoring speed, her margin increased to four at the top of the lane and she just galloped from there. She won by 8 with a good group of fillies in her rear view mirror. Up the ladder for this daughter of Cairo Prince who sold at the Ocala sale of juveniles for $120,000.
