Curlins Choir: Just Missed The Money Off The Lead

Broke well, but was outrun for the lead by three others to her inside and she found herself in a different pace scenario than usual as she was in midpack up the backstretch. The filly was near the back at the top of the stretch as the frontrunner began to throw in the towel. She had a rival to her outside throughout the stretch and held that one off, but just missed the place money as her rider wasn’t as aggressive in the final strides. If anything, this shows she doesn’t need to be on the lead for a good effort.
