Colette’s Joy: Bottled at 1/8 pole Likely Won’t Miss In Next Start

Three year old filly for Mark Glatt made her debut in Sunday’s 4th, a maiden special weight event for 3 and up on the main at ¾ of a mile. Off at 12/1 in a field of 7, she broke OK under Aguilar and settled in fifth down the back side, but just three off the leaders. The bug boy took her to the fence at the 3/8 pole and she stayed there the entire trip. She got bottled up at the 1/8 pole, checked hard at the 1/16 pole to lose some momentum, then finally burst clear late to miss by a half at the wire to the even money favorite. She galloped out strong past the wire and she was best today. This daughter of Connect will not miss next time out and Glatt has strong numbers with 2nd time starters.
