Certitude (FR): Strong Performance and Can Go Long Or Short On the Turf

Three year old filly for John Sadler made her 1st start with winners after finally breaking her maiden in her 9th try. Off at 7/2 in a field of 7 going ¾ on the turf, she broke running in this starter allowance race for non winners twice under Joel Rosario and was second down the back side from the runaway leader, who held a 3 length advantage. She managed to close the deficit to just two at the top of the lane, but the leader had another gear late and Certitude was forced to run second beaten one at the wire. It was a strong performance nonetheless and this daughter of City Light can go long or short on the turf. She certainly is good enough to knock out this condition and will in the near future. The race shape beat her today but she was well intended with a lot of late action on the board.
