Broski (IRE): May Have Been The Best And Should Get The Job Done Next Time Out

Two year old colt for Phil D’Amato, making just his 2nd career start and 1st in the U.S., had a pretty rough trip in the stretch on Thursday in a one mile maiden special weight event. Off at 9/5 in a field of 10 under Prat, he sat fifth on the fence into the clubhouse turn. Prat kept him on the rail down the back side, swung out for room at the ¼ pole and was sitting pretty on the outside at the top of the lane. Then a horse from his inside lugged out badly at the 1/16 pole forcing him way out on the course, like 8 wide. He out finished the culprit so no inquiry was activated but the damage had been done. He had to have lost some momentum with the bumping as it looked pretty severe. He finished third beaten two at the wire but may have been best. He may get one more shot at the seaside before the end of this meet and should get the job done in start #3.
