Breakfast Ride: Look For Drop In Class Where He’ll Be Well Meant

Four year old gelding for Peter Miller, who he just claimed for $80,000 on July 30, was entered right back at the same price on Sunday. Off as the 6/5 choice under the leading rider, he bobbled and went to his knees in this one mile allowance race and lost about 3 lengths at the start. J.J. hustled him up on the inside into the clubhouse turn to get back into contention, but the start killed any chance he had of winning this race. He didn’t respond at the ¼ pole when asked, so J.J. just wrapped up on him and he finished about 11 lengths back of the winner. This one has already won this condition and Miller gelded him right off the claim, so they may be looking to get out in their next start. He may be dropping in class and if J.J. rides him back, he will be well meant.
