Barbara T: Daughter of Army Mule Will Be Hard To Beat In Next Start

Two year old filly for Mike McCarthy made her debut on Sunday and ran too good to lose. Off at 20/1 in a field of 9 maiden special weights at five and a half on the main, she broke running under Rispoli from the rail and was sent hard to make the lead by the half mile pole. She was caught by two horses at the top of the lane, but she found another gear and battled gamely down the lane to just miss at the wire. It was four back to the third horse and there was some awfully well bred horses behind her. Plus, she raced on the worst part of the track the entire trip and the outside lanes were dominant once again on Sunday. They won’t beat this daughter of Army Mule next time to the post.
