The Belmont Stakes news is picking up in intensity as we get closer to the final leg of the Triple Crown Series. Fierceness was the first of the possible entrants to drop out of the running earlier this week. Todd Pletcher’s 2-year-old champion will target the Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park on July 20.
In other Belmont news, Mindframe has been confirmed to run in the Belmont for trainer Todd Pletcher, and Irad Ortiz Jr. will ride. Pletcher also has Peter Pan hero Antiquarian and stakes-placed maiden Protective for the Belmont, and all three Pletcher runners will have their final workouts on June 1.
Thirteen horses are possible for the Belmont Stakes as of May 31. Check out the possible field below and make sure to watch the Belmont Stakes video update at the bottom for the latest news.
