Wild Recruit: Should be Real Contender With Non Winners Twice Starter Allowance

Three year old gelding for Brian Koriner dropped to the bottom to get his diploma on Saturday in this maiden claimer for $20,000 at five and a half on the main. Off at 3 to 5 with a lot of heavy action late, he dueled through the opening quarter in a field of 7 through a blistering 1st quarter in 21.86. He put the other speed away at the ¼ pole, opened up three rather quickly and was never threatened in the lane. He went on to win by 7 at the wire. This Kentucky bred son of Nyquist is now eligible for a non winners twice starter allowance and with his speed, should be a real contender with that group. He went unclaimed in his 5th start today.

Generally horses that are on the Horses To Watch list ran into unexpected trouble, bad luck, and/or didn’t run the race we believe Wild Recruit was cabable of.  We expected that if Wild Recruit gets a good trip in their next start than we should see an improvement in Wild Recruit performance figures.  Use the performance figures earned in Wild Recruit last race (listed above) and compare them to the field and pars of Wild Recruit next start.  If Wild Recruit appears to have earned higher performance figures in the last race when running into trouble  as compared to the rest of the field’s expected perfomance in the upcoming race than there is a good chance that Wild Recruit will dominate the race.

Helpful Tip:  So that it’s easy for you to compare a horse’s past performance, Today’s Racing Digest’s Performance Figures for upcoming races are based on how we expect the horse to perform in that race regardless of any changes in race conditions.  Learn More:
