Hurricane Cloud (GB): Good Anywhere from $25K to $50K Claimers While Firing Everytime

Seven year old gelding for Richie Baltas tried $40,000 claimers on Friday in the initial race of the day at a mile on the turf. Off at 5/2 in a field of six he settled in fifth down the back side, tucked in at the rail under Frey and was just 3 off the pace. Frey kept him on the fence turning for home hoping a seam would open up but one never did till very late. He had plenty of horse and had to check a number of times but once he hit the 1/16th pole a seam developed. He darted through it between horses but it was too late as two others on the outside got the jump on him. He was beaten a long neck for all of it and he was best in this field of older runners. He’s good anywhere from $25,000 to $50,000 claimers and fires just about every time.
